Medicare Bulk Billing Changes 1-July-2026

As of the 1st July the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing have made it compulsory for our patients to sign an Assignment of Benefit (AoB) for all consultations that are bulk billed. This covers telehealth consultations and face to face. What this mean is if you are in the practice having a consultation please go out to reception after every visit to sign the AoB. If you have a Telehealth consultation you must have a mobile number registered in our Practice Software System. Directly after your phone consult you will receive a txt to that device requesting a digital consent for the AoB. If you do not have a mobile number Telehealth consultations will NOT be possible. Please be aware failure to sign the paper or digital consent will result in patients being privately charged.
